A Day Full of Surprises

Beginning of April when I arrived at the fitness club in Regensburg, I met a ex-co-worker from my early Amazon days at their nursery center – Susan Adamson. I was curious so I asked what she was doing at the nursery center. Well, what a surprise Susan became mummy and while she is doing sports she hands over her little one to this center. However, that was not the only surprise for this day.

In the nursery center itself someone said a friendly `Hello`- Susi the former neighbor from Markus & Nicole. She was working in the nursery center. Since I know that I always stop by at the center to say `Hello`. On the day of surprises we talked about Markus & Nicole´s next project as both of them were expecting their second child. Susi asked me if I knew more. Although the baby was already due, I had no news to report…

… Well that is what I thought! 2 hours later after I had taken a shower, I stopped by at the nursery center again to say goodbye to Susi. She was overexcited as she had just received a text message from Markus. The new baby arrived in the morning hours safe and sound and both the baby and the mum were well. Great news!

I called the newly dad to congratulate him and he was very proud of his daughter Klara.

Well, Markus was a bit surprised that I knew. As he wanted to inform me personally via phone and of course he did not know that I met Susi. Of course it was pure coincident that I met Susi and she told me about it.

However, that were still not enough surprises for the day. After I had returned from the fitness club, I met another mutual friend from Markus – his table tennis friend Andi with his wife & child. And of course he told me the same story that Markus’s baby had arrived. … Regensburg is a village!

Soccer with Friends

One of the greatest things for me to be back in Germany is to watch soccer on TV again! For almost 2.5 years I had hardly access to it. In Ireland, Africa, America and in Australia it is hard to watch the ´Bundesliga´ or Champions League and if so than hardly with German clubs.

Therefore, I enjoy every opportunity to watch soccer – of course to watch it with friends is best! Whenever, I get the chance to watch soccer with friends I meet them and get excited with them, discuss the play – preferably the games of FC Bayern!

And thus I watched soccer with Fuzzy and Matze in Stuttgart Bayern versus VFB, with Mike, Jan & Björn Champions League Bavaria versus Manchester and Bavaria vs. Lyon, as well as Bundesliga Bavaria vs. Schalke with Mike and Jan in Neumarkt.

There is nothing better than to swear, to chear and to fear together – of course we also take the opportunity to talk about other things … Wunderbar!

This is a great start for the WM in South Africa!!!
