Compound Name

If you drive through Australia there are so many places, which have compound names. Those sound strange to European ear. For example we passed a village called Pindi Pindi another one Gin Gin.









We don’t know why this is so, however we like it! Btw the nicest campgrounds were in Boonoo Boonoo and Bootie Bootie National Park.










And the towns Woy Woy and Kurri Kurri were not too bad either…
