German Pastry

Some of you might have wondered when we are going to report about the German food in Australia. Well, it wasn’t easy at all to find any. It took us 8 weeks to find a German bakery (not even our host Eberhard in Agnes Water had any recommendation for us). The backer is called Schwarzer in Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains.

We went there twice in only 3 days: we had Danish nut, cherry crumble and a Linzer tart (of course that wasn’t as good as the one from my mum).

For lunch we took with us some German rolls and enjoyed them with cream cheese and Australian honey. For dinner we had Bezels with sausages or eggs. So delicious!

For sure we are not addicted, however we cannot wait to be at home enjoying German food. No worries!
